Suzuki Accepting Bookings For The V-Strom 650 In India — Launch Expected Soon
Suzuki motorcycle has started accepting bookings for their upcoming V-Strom 650 ADV in India. Booking amount for the Suzuki V-Strom 650 is Rs 50,000.
Suzuki has started accepting bookings for their upcoming middleweight adventure motorcycle, the V-Strom 650 in India. According to Zigwheels, the Suzuki V-Strom 650 is expected to be launched sometime next month.
Suzuki is accepting bookings for the ADV motorcycle for an amount of Rs 50,000. The motorcycle is expected to be priced around Rs 7 lakh, ex-showroom. This makes it similarly priced to its competition, the Kawasaki Versys 650.
The Suzuki V-Strom 650 will be the third motorcycle to be locally assembled in India, after the GSX-S750 and the Hayabusa.
Globally, the V-Strom 650 is available in two variants: Standard and XT. The standard variant is a more road-oriented motorcycle, while the XT is the off-road focused version. Suzuki, for now, is accepting bookings only for the XT variant.
The design of the middleweight adventure motorcycle has been inspired from its elder sibling, the V-Strom 1000.
The Suzuki V-Strom is powered by a 645cc V-Twin engine, producing 70bhp and 62.3Nm of torque. The engine is further mated to a six-speed gearbox, tuned for long-distance riding.
The V-Strom 650 rides on Bridgestone Battlax A40 Adventure Tyres with an Enduro-style thread. It also gets premium anodised wire-spoke rims as well.
Suspension duties on the V-Strom are handled by telescopic front forks and a monoshock at the rear. The monoshock comes with rebound adjustment and a remote pre-load adjuster.
Braking on the ADV is through dual 310mm disc at the front and a single 260mm disc at the rear, with ABS as standard.
Other standard features on the Suzuki V-Strom 650 include a three-way height adjustable windscreen, three-stage traction control, easy-start system from Suzuki and a digital-analogue instrument cluster borrowed from the V-Strom 1000.
Thoughts On The Suzuki V-Strom 650
The Suzuki V-Strom 650 is the most-affordable ADV from the brand in India. It is also the second middleweight motorcycle offering after the GSX-S750 in the country. Once launched in India, the ADV motorcycle will take on the highly capable Kawasaki Versys 650.
