The spiritual successor of the iconic Indian electric car – the Maini Reva, the Mahindra e2o introduced the concept of an electric car to the wider Indian mass. The e2o gives decent range and enough performance to make it a good option for the city. Speaking about performance, the Mahindra e2o does have an output same or more than most small cars on the market. The e2o electric hatchback is available in both two-door and four-door formats. Compared to the Reva, the e2o is also bigger and offers more space and practicality.
While the regular Verito has not been meeting much demand lately, its electric counterpart is slowly getting popular. The Mahindra eVerito is mostly used for taxi services. In fact, the eVerito is also India’s first mass-production electric sedan. The original Verito was built around the Renault Logan. While the Logan wasn’t much to look at, it offered a well-balanced chassis and good interior space. The Mahindra eVerito is just that but with an emission-free power plant.
Hyundai recently launched their first electric SUV in the Indian market, with the Kona SUV. The new Hyundai Kona Electric is said to offer a range of 452km on a single charge and comes with a host of features and equipment in the Indian market.
