Toyota Women Leaders Shine At National Manufacturing Awards
On April 18, 2024, in Washington, D.C., three distinguished Toyota manufacturing leaders were honored at the Women MAKE Awards, a prestigious event recognizing the contributions of women in the manufacturing sector. These awards, hosted by the Manufacturing Institute, spotlighted 130 women for their leadership and community contributions. The accolades aim to celebrate and inspire the next generation of women in manufacturing.
Toyota Senior Vice President of Electric Vehicle Supply and incoming Women MAKE Awards Vice Chair, Susan Elkington, emphasized the importance of the initiative. Emerging Leader Award recipient Patricia Pastrana Arroyo, a pilot engineer at Toyota Indiana, was acknowledged for her exceptional engineering skills and leadership. Arroyo has made significant impacts in efficiency and quality improvements, notably during two model launches.
The Manufacturing Institute annually honors women who demonstrate excellence in science, technology, engineering, and production within the manufacturing industry.
