Suzuki V Strom 800 DE Launched In India At Rs 10.30 Lakh – The No-nonsense Adventure Motorcycle
Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. launched the all-new Suzuki V-Strom 800 DE motorcycle in the country. This latest motorcycle from Suzuki is priced at Rs 10.30 lakh (ex-showroom). However, it is worth mentioning that this price is an introductory offer, and Suzuki may increase the price anytime soon.
The newly launched Suzuki V-Strom 800 DE will take the place of the V-Strom 650 XT, marking a significant update in Suzuki's adventure segment in India. Furthermore, the new Suzuki V-Strom 800 DE is built on a new platform derived from the GSX-8S.
Powering the newly launched Suzuki V-Strom 800 DE is the V-Strom 800 DE is a 776cc parallel-twin engine. This liquid-cooled engine, equipped with a 270-degree crank, delivers 83bhp at 8,500 rpm and a peak torque of 78Nm at 6,800 rpm.
To make the best use of this engine, the Suzuki V-Strom 800 DE motorcycle features a 6-speed gearbox. Furthermore, the model comes equipped with a bi-directional quick-shifter as standard, enhancing the overall riding experience.
In terms of hardware, the Suzuki V-Strom 800 DE sports fully adjustable Showa USD with 220mm of travel. Braking duties are handled by twin 310mm discs at the front, coupled with a 260mm disc at the rear.
Since the newly launched Suzuki V-Strom 800 DE is positioned as an Adventure motorcycle, the model features a large 21-inch spoked front wheel and a smaller 17-inch rear spoked wheel.
The V-Strom 800 DE is not just about power but also about intelligent riding support. It comes with the Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (SDMS), offering three ride modes for varied riding experiences.
The Suzuki Traction Control System (STCS) and ABS, with selectable modes, add layers of safety and control for the rider. Despite its 230 kg weight, its features aim to provide a comfortable and controlled ride over different terrains.
