Nissan Formula E Team Sets Sights On Victory At Monaco's Legendary Circuit

The Nissan Formula E Team is actively preparing for the eighth round of the tenth season, set to unfold at the prestigious Circuit de Monaco. Drivers Oliver Rowland and Sacha Fenestraz are both setting their sights on achieving notable results on this famed circuit. Rowland, in particular, boasts an impressive history at Monaco with several podium finishes across different racing categories. His recent performance in Season 10 has been commendable, securing four podium finishes in the last five races. Fenestraz, on his part, is coming off a points finish at the previous race in Misano and has fond memories of Monaco, including a victory in the Formula Renault Eurocup and recording the fastest lap in Formula E qualifying last year.

The Circuit de Monaco presents a formidable challenge with its iconic sections like the Grand Hotel Hairpin and La Rascasse. Despite the track's notorious difficulty for overtaking, Formula E races have shown that it's not impossible. The importance of qualifying at this circuit cannot be overstated. In anticipation of the race on April 27, the Nissan Formula E Team has unveiled its 'Sounds of Season 10' playlist, a collaboration with composer Mathias Rehfeldt to encapsulate the culture and atmosphere of Monaco through music.

Nissan Eyes Victory in Monaco

Tommaso Volpe, managing director and team principal of the Nissan Formula E Team, has expressed his confidence in both drivers based on their performances last year at Monaco. Rowland is optimistic about the team's current pace and is eager to race on one of his favorite tracks. Fenestraz is looking to leverage Rowland's experience to boost his own performance, aiming for a strong showing in qualifying and during the race.

Nissan's involvement in Formula E began in Season 5, marking a significant commitment to the Gen3 era of the sport. Following its acquisition of the e.dams race team in 2022, Nissan will also supply powertrain technology to McLaren Racing for the Gen3 era. The brand's participation in Formula E underscores its dedication to promoting electric vehicles globally and contributing towards achieving carbon neutrality goals. Formula E stands out as the world's first certified net-zero carbon footprint sport, highlighting electric technology's role in advancing sustainable mobility within urban environments.
