Toyota Glanza Price Hiked – Check Out Updated Prices
Toyota Kirloskar Motor has hiked the prices of the Glanza premium hatchback up to Rs 12,000 in India. This updated price is now effective across all variants.
Diving into details, Toyota has hiked the prices of the Glanza petrol variant by Rs 12,000, whereas the prices for the bi-fuel (Petrol, and CNG) variants of the premium hatchback has been hiked up to Rs 2,000.
It is also worth mentioning that the petrol-powered variants of the Toyota Glanza hatchback equipped with manual transmission received a price hike of Rs 7,000. This means prices for the Toyota Glanza premium hatchback now starts from Rs 6.66 lakh (ex-showroom, India). In comparison, the model used to be priced at Rs 6.39 lakh (ex-showroom, India) when it was launched in the country.
Speaking about the Toyota Glanza, the premium hatchback is essentially a rebadged version of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno. This means both these premium hatchbacks are mechanically identical to each other. However, the new Toyota Glanza does feature a few cosmetic changes to make the model look more like a 'Toyota' rather than a 'Maruti Suzuki'.
In terms of powertrain, the Toyota Glanza is powered by a Maruti Suzuki-sourced 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder, naturally-aspirated engine. This engine puts out 89bhp of peak power and 113Nm of peak torque. On the other hand, the CNG version puts out 76bhp of power and 98.5Nm of torque while running on CNG.
In terms of gearbox options, the Toyota Glanza can be specified with either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed AMT unit. However, the CNG version of the premium hatchback comes exclusively with a 5-speed manual transmission. Furthermore, the claimed fuel efficiency figure on the Toyota Glanza E-CNG hatchback is rated at 30.61km/kg - This makes the hatchback one of the most fuel-efficient cars in the country.

Though Toyota has hiked the prices for the Glanza hatchback in India, the price hike is not sttep enough to deter any potential buyers. As such, we do not expect to see any slump in the sales of the Glanza hatchback in the coming months.
