The new Vantage retains the same 4.0-liter, twin-turbocharged, V8 built by Mercedes-AMG that powered its predecessor. This turbocharged powerhouse, has been retuned for this generation of the Vantage to produce 656bhp and 800 Nm of torque allowing it to reach a top speed of 325km/h and go from 0-100km/h in just 3.4 seconds. The previous vantage produced 500bhp and 685Nm of torque and had a top speed of 313km/h with a 0-100km/h time of 4.0 seconds.

Aston Martin claims that the Vantage has a perfect 50:50 weight distribution ratio. Along with the adaptive dampers, electric rear differential, the 21-inch rims wrapped in Michelin Pilot 5 S tyres, the new Vantage sports multiple drive modes that improve the acceleration and the gear shifts.

DriveSpark Thinks

The new Aston Martin Vantage in India marks a significant upgrade over its predecessor. The incorporation of Aston Martin's in-house software for the infotainment system addresses complaints about usability from ownersof the car's previous generations. The aggressive redesign of the front grille and other exterior elements gives the Vantage more of a presence on the road making it a more appealing sports car and it will surely keep up and beat rivals like the Porsche 911 thanks to the massive increase in power and torque figures.
