Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor – Top 5 Things You Need To Know
Toyota recently launched the new Urban Cruiser Taisor SUV in India. This latest model from Toyota is essentially a rebadged version of the Maruti Suzuki Fronx SUV, and here are the top 5 things you need to know about the Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor SUV.
Exterior Design
As mentioned, the new Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor SUV is a rebadged version of the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara. However, Toyota has made a few changes to its design to make the model look more like Toyota than a Maruti Suzuki.

These changes include a redesigned front grille with honeycomb pattern, a reprofiled front bumper, new LED DRLs, LED taillamps with updated light graphics, and a set of new 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.
Interior Design
On the inside, the new Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor SUV has an interior that is almost identical to the Maruti Suzuki Fronx. The model also comes equipped with an attractive-looking brown and black upholstery.

Features
Toyota hasn't added any additional features to the Urban Cruiser Taisor SUV compared to the Maruti Suzuki Fronx. As such, the new Urban Cruiser Taisor SUV continues to be offered with the same features and tech as the Fronx SUV.
This means the new Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor SUV comes equipped with features such as a large 9-inch infotainment unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a wireless charging pad, HUD, a 360-degree camera, automatic climate control and much more.

Safety
Much like the feature list, the new Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor SUV offers identical safety features to the Maruti Suzuki Fronx SUV. This is not a bad thing as the latter comes well-equipped with features such as 6 airbags, ESP, hill-hold assist, ABS, EBD, ISOFIX and a lot more.
Powertrain
The Urban Cruiser Taisor features the same powertrain options as the Fronx. The base engine is a 1.2-litre, naturally-aspirated, petrol engine with 88.5 bhp and 113Nm of torque. This engine can be specified with either a 5-speed manual or an AMT gearbox. There is also a CNG version of this engine.

On the other hand, the more powerful 1.0-litre, turbocharged engine puts out 98.6bhp and 147.6Nm of torque. Moreover, this engine option can be specified with either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Thoughts About The Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor
With the launch of the new Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor, the Japanese automaker intends to capitalise on the market trend and boost its overall sales. Furthermore, the launch of this model will bridge the gap between the Glanza, and the Urban Cruiser Hyryder.
