Top 10 Best Selling 6-seater/7-seater UVs In April 2022
Here is the list of the top 10 best selling 6-seater/7-seater utility vehicles in India for the month of April 2022. Moreover, Maruti Suzuki continues to dominate the segment with its Ertiga MUV.
Maruti Suzuki Ertiga (14,889 units)
Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is some of the best vehicles you can buy for your family. The MUV offers decent space for 7 adults and also offers hatchback-rivalling fuel economy. In April 2022, Maruti Suzuki sold 14,889 units of Ertiga MUV in India.
Moreover, the YoY sales of the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga improved by more than 72 per cent, whereas the MoM sales improved by almost 90 per cent.

Mahindra Bolero (7,686 units)
The Mahindra Bolero is a tough and efficient SUV. Despite its utilitarian nature, Mahindra sold 7,686 units of Bolero SUVs in India in April 2022.
Thanks to amazing sales figures, YoY sales of the Bolero SUV improved by almost 25 per cent. On the other hand, the MoM sales figure of the Bolero improved by 11 per cent.

Toyota Innova Crysta (6,351 units)
Toyota Innova Crysta has become the default choice for many Indian buyers looking for a spacious car. In April 2022, Toyota sold 6,351 units of Innova Crysta MUVs in India.
As a result, the YoY sales performance for the MUV improved by more than 76 per cent. However, MoM sales for the Innova Crysta declined by almost 20 per cent.
Kia Carens (5,754 units)
Kia Carens quickly gained traction in the Indian automobile market with its aggressive pricing and long feature list. Moreover, the company sold 5,754 units of Carens MUV in April 2022.
Despite its decent sales figures, the MoM sales figures for the South Korean MUV went down by almost 18 per cent.
Maruti Suzuki XL6 (4,366 units)
The Maruti Suzuki XL6 is a slightly more premium version based on the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. However, the XL6 is a 6-seater MUV with captain seats in the middle row.
In April 2022, Maruti Suzuki sold 4,366 units of XL6 MUVs in India, resulting in a YoY sales increase of 30 per cent. Apart from that, the MoM sales figure more than doubled.
Renault Triber (2,910 units)
The Renault Triber is the most affordable MUV on this list and also comes with a 4-star safety rating. In April 2022, the French automaker sold 2,910 units of this 7-seater MUV in India.
In addition to that, Triber's YoY sales figure improved by almost 20 per cent. However, the MoM sales figure declined by more than 18 per cent.
Mahindra Scorpio (2,712 units)
Though the new Mahindra Scorpio-N is just a month away from its launch, it didn't stop 2,712 people from buying the outgoing model in April 2022.
However, both YoY and MoM sales figure for the outgoing version of the Mahindra Scorpio is down by 24 per cent and 55 per cent, respectively.
Hyundai Alcazar (2,422 units)
The Hyundai Alcazar is the 7-seater version of the Hyundai Creta. Despite being a new SUV, the SUV has been performing well in the Indian market.
However, the competition in this particular segment is tight and as a result, MoM sales of the Hyundai Alcazar have gone down by more than 3 per cent.
Tata Safari (2,071 units)
The new Tata Safari is an imposing SUV and a comfortable 7-seater SUV. In April 2022, Tata sold 2,071 units of Safari SUV in India.
Thanks to this solid performance, YoY sales for the Tata Safari have gone up by almost 37 per cent. However, MoM sales for the SUV is down by 7 per cent.
Toyota Fortuner (2,022 units)
Toyota Fortuner is a very popular SUV in India and almost all prominent politicians have one in their garage. Moreover, in April 2022, Toyota sold 2,022 units of Fortuner SUVs in India.
This stellar sales performance has resulted in a 43 per cent increase in YoY sales figures. However, MoM sales for the SUV is down by more than 32 per cent.

3-row SUV/UV sales in India have gone up in terms of both YoY and MoM sales figures. Apart from that, we expect this segment to grow further in the coming months.
