Toyota Sales Breakup For The Month Of March 2024 – Hycross & Hyryder Leads The Charge
Toyota has been a consistent performer in India since it made its debut back in the country with Qualis. In recent times, the company has been working with Maruti Suzuki to launch newer models and this has definitely worked wonders in terms of overall sales figures.
Now, looking at the sales breakup for Toyota in March 2024, we can clearly see that the Japanese automaker has definitely made some progress in terms of overall sales figures with more than 35 per cent increase in YoY sales figures.
Hycross (6,224 Units)
The Toyota Innova Hycross continues to be the best-selling product for the Japanese automaker in India despite the model lacking diesel powertrain options. In terms of numbers, Toyota managed to sell 6,224 units of Hycross MPVs in March 2024 with a YoY growth of 8.15 percent.
HyRyder (5,965 Units)
The Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyrder is a C-segment SUV competing against the likes of the Hyundai Creta and other SUVs. With 5,965 unit sales, the Toyota Hyryder has witnessed an YoY sales bump of more than 71 per cent as well.
Glanza (4,319 Units)
The Toyota Glanza continues to rack up sales figures for the Japanese automaker by managing to sell 4,319 units in March 2024. Moreover, the YoY sales figures for the model went by more than 28 per cent.
Crysta (3,676 Units)
Though the Toyota Innova Hycrpss is the successor to the Innova Crysta, the latter continues its strong momentum by managing to sell 3,676 units in the month of March 2024. In fact, the YoY sales figures for the model have also increased by more than 58 per cent.
Fortuner (3,621 Units)
The Toyota Fortuner continues to dominate its segment with no signs of slowing down anytime soon. In fact, the YoY Fortuner sales have grown by almost 17 per cent and the sales figures stand at 3,621 units for the month of March 2024.
Rumion (688 Units)
The Toyota Rumion is basically a rebadged version of the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga MPV. However, the sales figures of the Rumion fail to justify its roots as it managed to attract just 688 customers.
Hilux (356 Units)
The Toyota Hilux is a niche product and may not suit everybody's needs. Its sales figures also reflect this as the company managed to sell just 356 units of the Hilux in March 2024. On the brighter side, YoY sales figures for the model have improved by almost 60 per cent.
Camry (232 Units)
Toyota managed to sell 232 units of the Camry sedan in March 2024. Though this figure may look small and irrelevant, the YoY sales improvement for the model is the highest for Toyota at 136 per cent.
Vellfire (38 Units)
The ultra-luxurious Toyota Vellfire gained tremendous popularity in the last year. However, this year has not been positive for the model as the company managed to sell just 38 units in March 2024. Also, the YoY sales have dipped by more than 84 per cent.
Thoughts About Toyota Sales Breakup - March 2024
Toyota has witnessed an overall improvement in terms of YoY sales figures. It is also worth mentioning that all models with the exception of Vellfire have seen a positive YoY sales growth. Also, we expect Toyota to further improve sales figures in the coming months as well.
