Auto Expo 2014: Mahindra Mojo 300cc Sports Motorcycle Revealed

Mahindra Mojo in production guise has finally been revealed at the 2014 Auto Expo after it was first displayed way back in 2010. And what's more, Mahindra has not one, but two versions of the Mojo on display - the regular version and one in sports livery.

Mahindra has been tight lipped about the Mojo's technical details and neither is there any info about when the motorcycle might be launched. But it is being speculated that it might happen sometime during June and if not then, before the end of the year.

Mahindra Mojo Engine

Mahindra Mojo is powered by a 295cc single cylinder, liquid cooled engine that has a power output of 28 bhp at 8000 rpm and 25 Nm of torque. The sports variant could deliver higher performance.

The engine is mated to a six speed transmission, but the performance details are yet unknown.

The Mojo gets petal style disc brakes, radial tyres, upside down forks and Pirelli demon tyres.

The instrument cluster is made up of a digital speedo and analogue tachometer, but there's no word on any radical new electronic feature or convenience features such as those provided with the Centuro.

Lastly, unlike the concept Mojo units we have seen earlier the production units get headlamps that are covered with a cowl, which at to our eyes, makes the front portion look oversized. Also to be noted, the Mojo in sports livery gets the horizontal cosmetic bars painted in black instead of gold. We'll be back with more info about the Mojo as and when they become available.
