Even before the Auto Expo 2014 Hero MotoCorp had plenty of exciting reveals that took us completely by surprise. The diesel powered RNT Concept and HX250R sports bike for example.

Hero managed to maintain the same level of excitement even at the Expo with five more reveals, which included two 100cc mileage bikes with a twist and three concept models - The Splendor Pro Classic, the Passion Pro TR, the Hastur 620cc sports bike, the iON hydrogen concept & the SimplEcity street bike concept.

Splendor Pro Classic

One look at it and you already know what Hero has attempted to do here. The Splendor Café racer model gets the breed's characteristic seat cowl, round headlight and lots of chrome inserts where ever possible.

Splendor Pro Classic-Cafe Racer

The Splendor Pro Classic even gets the Café Racer red body colour. The engine powering this motorcycle is a four stroke, 100cc, single cylinder, air cooled unit of unknown power output.

Passion Pro TR

Passion Pro TR, yet another 100cc motorcycle, is a light off roader that sports tread wheels, raised front fenders, headlamp grille, engine guard, fuel tank pads and hand guards.

Hero Hastur

This is a street naked with styling that resembles KTM Duke models to a large extent. The display even had an orange frame. The engine powering this beast is a 620cc,parallel twin, liquid cooled unit that generates 79 bhp at 9600 rpm.

Hero SimplEcity

This is a concept motorcycle intended for urban commuting. The bare frame electric concept weights a mere 35 kg and boasts of a unique ‘walk mode', which makes pushing the SimplEcity an effortless job.

Hero iON Design

The last model is the most radical and the most unexpected concept vehicle and something we never expected to come from Hero at this point in time. Here it is still.

Hero iON Technology

The iON is a hydrogen fuel cell powered motorcycle. The innovative features don't just end here. The spoke less wheels contain traction motors which use magnetic levitation to turn the wheels as well as for braking.

Even the steering system is unconventional while the suspension makes use of what is called magneto rheological adaptive damping which uses sensors to adapt to road conditions. Understandably, this is one model that will not see the light of day anytime soon, but does the best job in projecting Hero's capabilities to the world.
