Hero MotoCorp Stops Production Of Karizma & Karizma ZMR
The Karizma and Karizma ZMR motorcycles are the flagship products in India from Hero MotoCorp. Unfortunately, the manufacturer has now halted production of both motorcycles completely. Hero MotoCorp had recently provided both bikes with a facelift, which did not work well with customers.
A major reason for Hero MotoCorp halting production of Karizma and Karizma ZMR is low sales. Both flagship motorcycles from Hero MotoCorp have failed to impress potential buyers. Dealerships currently have an overload of 2014 stocks, which they are desperately trying to clear off.
Several authorised Hero MotoCorp dealerships have stopped accepting bookings for either model. Dealerships across India who have a few Karizma and Karizma ZMR models in stock are offering discounts to clear stocks. The value of these bikes will depreciate the longer that they are not sold.
The Karizma and Karizma ZMR are powered by a common 223cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. Hero MotoCorp officials claim a top speed of 129km/h, with a maximum power of 20bhp and 19.7Nm torque. Both motorcycles sport fuel injection as standard equipment for maximum fuel efficiency.
It is unclear at this point if Hero MotoCorp would provide both bikes with an update or not. At the upcoming 2016 Auto Expo, Hero MotoCorp will showcase its products and is expected to launch several new products for India as well as international markets.
