Thalapathy Vijay Car Collection Revealed Before TN Polls – BMW i7, Vellfire & Even a TVS XL!
The 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections are right around the corner, and one person constantly in the media spotlight is TVK chief Thalapathy Vijay. The actor-turned-politician has filed his nomination from the Perambur constituency in Chennai. In his affidavit, he declared his car and bike collection, some of which are quite surprising and interesting.

TVK chief Thalapathy Vijay has declared vehicle assets worth 7.52 crore. Among these are several high-end luxury cars, along with one surprising inclusion-the TVS XL, often considered a vehicle for the common man. Check out the full list down below.
1. Lexus LM 350 h

The Japanese luxury MPV is priced at ₹2.15 crores (ex-showroom) in India. It is known for its reliability and comfort, making it one of his primary cars. It is powered by a 2.5-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine with a self-charging hybrid system, producing 138 kW and 239 Nm of torque.
It offers a balance of performance and efficiency. The interior is luxurious, featuring a Noise absorbing roof, dual glass roof, Tazuna inspired cockpit, surround sound speakers, a 48-inch ultra wide multimedia system, seamless connectivity, ambient lighting, a Mark Levinson premium sound system, and ergonomic seating.
2. BMW 5 series

The BMW 5 Series starts at around ₹74.8 lakh (ex-showroom). The latest model features a long wheelbase design, signature kidney grille, adaptive LED headlights, premium aluminium accents, and alloy wheels. It is powered by a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder petrol mild-hybrid engine, producing 258 hp and 400 Nm of torque.
The interior includes dual-tone upholstery with quilting, a centre console with crafted clarity glass elements, ambient lighting with an interaction bar, and fine wood trim. Additional features include a panoramic glass roof, expansive rear legroom, Bowers & Wilkins audio system, connected car tech, BMW Live Cockpit with curved display, four-zone climate control, wireless charging, driver assistance features, and ventilated front seats.
3. BMW i7 Electric

Vijay also owns the electric BMW i7, in which he has been spotted multiple times in Chennai. The i7 starts at around ₹2.50 crore (ex-showroom) and features a rear-wheel-drive setup producing 449 hp and 650 Nm of torque.
It can reach a top speed of 205 km/h and accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.7 seconds. Luxury highlights include a 31.2 cm rear-seat BMW Theatre Screen, a Sky Lounge panoramic glass roof with LED lighting, and premium cabin materials.
4. Toyota Vellfire MPV

This is considered Vijay's go-to vehicle, especially after entering politics. The Toyota Vellfire is a luxury MPV known for its comfort and space. It features a premium dual-tone dashboard with leather and wooden inserts, dual sunroof, genuine leather seats with memory foam, ambient lighting, and front and rear entertainment screens with a 15-speaker JBL sound system.
Additional highlights include a head-up display, machine-finished alloy wheels, and advanced driver assistance systems. It is powered by a 2.5-litre hybrid engine producing 193 PS and 240 Nm of torque, and is priced from ₹1.19 crore (ex-showroom).
5. Maruti Suzuki Swift

The actor also owns a Maruti Suzuki Swift, one of India's most iconic hatchbacks. He was seen arriving in this car to vote during the last election. He owns a third-generation Swift, while the latest fourth-generation model starts at ₹5.78 lakh (ex-showroom).
It is powered by a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder Z-series petrol engine, producing 81.58 PS and 111.7 Nm of torque, paired with either a 5-speed manual or AMT. It delivers a claimed fuel efficiency of up to 25.78 km/l (AMT) and comes with safety features like 6 airbags, ESP, hill hold assist, ABS with EBD, and a reverse parking camera.
6. TVS XL Super
One of the most surprising vehicles in his collection is the TVS XL Super, often considered a vehicle for the masses. The XL is powered by a 100cc petrol engine and is available in multiple variants. The XL 100 is priced from around ₹44,900 (ex-showroom).
