Suzuki Drops New Teaser – Updated Burgman or a More Powerful Scooter?
Suzuki has dropped a new teaser revealing a headlamp design similar to the Burgman 125, fueling speculation about a major update. The split LED setup and the tagline "Stay tuned for the one and only" suggest either a refreshed Burgman 125 or a more powerful new model.
Suzuki New Teaser Sparks Speculations
The Japanese automaker already holds a strong position in India's scooter segment, largely driven by the success of the Access 125. Along with this, the Gixxer series motorcycles and Burgman range also contribute significantly to Suzuki's overall sales.

The company has recently refreshed the Access 125 with a new-generation model. Now they are planning to launch a new model for the Indian market and have dropped a new teaser. This upcoming vehicle could be the new-gen Burgman scooter. It could be a part of Suzuki's broader strategy to update its portfolio.
What to expect?
The updated model could feature a new TFT display with improved connectivity, refreshed design elements, and minor mechanical updates. The current Burgman Street features a single headlamp setup, making this new split LED design a noticeable upgrade.

Interestingly, similar split LED headlamps are seen on larger Burgman models sold in international markets. It could also borrow features from the latest Access 125, such as a colour TFT display with Suzuki Ride Connect. This system offers features like call and SMS alerts, turn-by-turn navigation, speed alerts, and ETA updates.
Mechanically, the scooter is expected to continue with the same 124cc single-cylinder engine, producing around 6.2 kW of power and 10.2 Nm of torque, paired with a CVT gearbox. It may also receive tuning updates such as improved low-end torque, better combustion efficiency, and smoother performance.
Currently, the Burgman Street range starts at ₹97,599 (ex-showroom), while the Ride Connect variant is priced at ₹1.01 lakh, and the top-spec Burgman Street EX at ₹1.11 lakh (ex-showroom). There is also a possibility that Suzuki will introduce a more powerful Burgman to the Indian market to rival scooters such as the Yamaha Aerox 155, TVS Ntorq 150, and the Hero Xoom 160.
