New Yamaha YZF R15 Version 3.0 Starts Arriving At India Dealership — Launch Soon
New Yamaha YZF R15 V3 starts arriving at dealerships in India.
The next-generation Yamaha YZF R15 V3 is already on sale in several countries; however, it is yet to be launched in India. In a recent spy pic, the motorcycle was spotted at an Indian dealership suggesting the Yamaha might be gearing up to launch the next-generation YZF R15 V3 in the country soon.
Rushlane spotted the Yamaha YZF R15 V3 at an Indian dealership giving rise to speculations that the Japanese company could launch the full faired bike in January 2018. However, Yamaha is yet to officially confirm the launch details of the next-generation Yamaha YZF R15 V3. The bike was also recently spotted testing in the country as well and this might further support the fact that the bike might be launched next month.

The India-spec Yamaha YZF R15 V3 is quite different compared to the global-spec model, a cheaper variant which lacks all the gadgets and hardware upgrades. The India-bound Yamaha R15 V3 gets regular front forks and misses out on ABS, unlike the global-spec model.
The front fender is similar to the V2, instead of the broader seen in the international-spec V3. While the global-spec bike was shod with IRC tyres, the bike seen in the spy pics is shod with MRF tyres. The footpegs are same as the V2 and not the aluminium assembly of the global model.
The global-spec Yamaha YZF R15 V3 is powered by an all-new 155cc single cylinder engine with fuel injection. The unit produces 19.7bhp, up by 3bhp over the outgoing model and 14.7Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
Regarding features, the Yamaha YZF R15 V3 comes with LED headlamps, slipper clutch, among others.

The Yamaha YZF R15 V3 spotted at an Indian dealership is a stripped down model of the global-spec model; this could suggest that Yamaha wants to price the bike competitivelyin the Indian market.
Once launched, the motorcycle will rival the likes of Suzuki Gixxer SF, but on the price front, the bike could compete with Bajaj Pulsar, Honda Hornet among others as well.
