Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 Phantom Revealed With Rally-Style Off-Road Upgrades
A modified version of the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 called the Phantom has been revealed by UK-based dealership Cooperb Motorcycles. The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 Phantom build adds a series of bolt-on upgrades to improve off-road capability and durability for trail riding.
The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 Phantom is not a factory model from Royal Enfield but a dealer-developed package that modifies the standard Himalayan 450. According to Cooperb Motorcycles, the Phantom project combines carefully selected parts to make the Himalayan 450 more aggressive, lighter and better suited to rally-style adventure riding.

The base Phantom package offers upgraded suspension with a choice between K-Tech or Hagon rear shocks, both featuring preload and compression damping adjustments. Other changes include Cooperb bar risers, a front hose relocation kit, a lower front mudguard and Pivot Pegz footpegs to improve control during off-road riding.
Several components on the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 Phantom are sourced from Acerbis, including handguards, fork guards, a skid plate, chain guide, radiator mesh and reinforced engine cases. The Phantom also replaces the standard 17-litre fuel tank with a 23-litre plastic tank, increasing range for longer adventure rides.
The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 Phantom also receives Royal Enfield's Rally seat and seat unit, which raises the seating position by around 20mm to improve rider movement while standing during off-road riding. Buyers can also opt for lightweight SM Pro rims, knobby tyres and mousse inserts depending on their intended use.
Powertrain changes on the Himalayan 450 Phantom are limited to bolt-on upgrades. The Phantom retains the Himalayan 450's 452cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder Sherpa engine, but adds a full HP Corse exhaust system, a DNA induction kit and a FuelX Pro Plus fuel controller to optimise the air-fuel mixture.
The modified bike has also been tested in competition. Cooperb Motorcycles entered three Himalayan 450 Phantom units in the Valleys X-Treme Lite race in South Wales, where one of the bikes won the Big Bike Single class ridden by Jake Edey.
Pricing for the Himalayan 450 Phantom ranges from £10,299 to £12,000, depending on the specification and optional parts selected. This is significantly higher than the standard Himalayan 450 in the UK due to the extensive upgrades included in the package.
