The latest price hike will apply to Renault models such as Kwid, Duster and Lodgy. But the recently launched Captur has been exempted from the price hike and will continue to sell with the same price tag in 2018.
In a statement, Renault said, "The price hike will be applicable on Kwid, Duster and Lodgy...Reasons for the price hike are to partially offset the impact of rising input and freight costs."

The Kwid has been the best-selling product in the Indian market, and the company is already working on the facelifted model which is expected to hit the roads in 2018. The Duster will also come with a new avatar which has been already revealed.
Currently, the Kwid is topping the chart for Renault in India; we expect that the price hike will not have an impact on the sales. But if you are planning to buy one, then this is the right time as the prices will be increased from 2018.
Apart from Renault, major automakers such as Mahindra, Skoda, Ford, Volkswagen, Tata Motors, Isuzu and Toyota have already announced the increase in the price from January 1, 2018.
