Hyundai I20 Exterior And Interior Design

Hyundai I20 Exterior And Interior Design

Hyundai recently introduced their newest iteration of the i20 premium hatchback in the Indian market. The all-new Hyundai i20 is now in its third-generation version and features a completely revamped design, along with a host of new features, equipment and technology.

Talking about the design, the new Hyundai i20 now follows the brand’s latest design philosophy ‘Sensuous Sportiness’. As part of this new design language, the new i20 hatchback now comes with a drooping bonnet, a new cascading front grille with a piano-black mesh. Flanking either side of the grille are LED projector headlamps with integrated LED DRLs, turn indicators and cornering lamps.

The new Hyundai i20 also comes with a new front bumper, which features projector fog lamps at either end, with a central air intake and a piano-black finish front skirting at the bottom.

Moving to the side, the new Hyundai i20 is characterised by the 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, the chrome strip running below the window line and the dual-tone paint scheme (on higher-spec variants). There is also a distinct crease running across the length of the hatchback, further adding to the sporty characteristic of the i20.

The rear profile comes with Z-shaped LED tail lights, connected together with a central reflector and a chrome strip. The boot also gets the model and variant badging, while the rear bumper features reflectors at either end and a faux diffuser at the centre; adding to the sporty nature.

Inside, the all-new Hyundai i20 features a completely revamped dashboard as well. The hatchback comes with a digital instrument cluster, large touchscreen infotainment system, comfortable seats and plenty of space for all passengers.

Hyundai I20 Engine And Performance

Hyundai I20 Engine And Performance

The all-new Hyundai i20 comes with a choice of three engine options. This includes a 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine. This produces 83bhp when paired with a five-speed manual gearbox and 87bhp when mated to the brand’s iVT automatic transmission unit.

The second engine is the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 120bhp and 172Nm of peak torque. This engine comes mated to either a six-speed iMT or a seven-speed DCT automatic unit. The final engine option is the 1.5-litre diesel churning out 100bhp and 240Nm of peak torque. It is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox as standard.

Hyundai I20 Fuel Efficiency

However, the diesel engine on the new i20 claims to be the most fuel-efficient 1.5-litre unit in India, returning 25.2km/l. All variants of the new Hyundai i20 come with a 37-litre fuel tank capacity.
