The Photon has a range of 50km in the Power mode while on Economy mode, the scooter can travel 80km on a single charge. Standard features include a polycarbonate headlamp, telescopic front forks, and a disc brake for the front. The Hero Electric Photon requires a valid driver’s licence and registration to be used on the road.
The Maxi is made by Hero’s electric division and was first unveiled at the 2014 Auto Expo. Shortly after, the electric scooter was launched with an electric motor that produces less than 250watt of power. The Hero Electric Maxi has a range of 70km while it takes around six to eight hours for the scooter to fully charge.
The Hero Electric Optima Plus is powered by an electric motor that develops less than 250watt of power and has a range of around 70km on a full charge. The battery takes about six to eight hours to charge fully, and since the battery output is low, the scooter does not need registration or a licence.
The Hero Electric Cruz, although features a only a 250watt electric motor, comes with telescopic front forks and an advanced throttle mechanism that helps in quick acceleration. The Cruz also features a large storage section and can travel 70km on a single charge. The Cruz, owing to its small engine, need not be registered by the RTO, nor does it require a licence.
The Hero Electric Wave Dx is targeted at the younger generation with it sharp styling. Powering the Wave Dx is a 250watt electric motor that can travel 100km on a single charge (xtra mile variant). The top speed is limited to 25km/h and the Wave Dx comes with remote locking, cell phone charger, and an immobilizer.
The Hero Electric E-Sprint is one of the powerful electric scooters offered by the company and draws power from a 800watt electric motor. The scooter features two drive modes, Economy and Power, and can travel a range of 80km and 65km respectively. The top speed of the Hero Electric E-Sprint is limited to 45km/h in the power mode and features a mobile phone charging port, telescopic front forks, and even a disc brake up front.
