Drag racing in India is growing, thanks to a few clubs that organise them. Bangalore was once a destination for motorsports, and the culture slowly died. In recent times, however, a few enthusiasts have revived the sport.
In April this year, Geneva Services from Bangalore conducted a quarter mile drag race called Vroom, under the FMSCI's governance. The event was an instant hit, and now, just a few months later, the company is hosting its second edition of the race. The Vroom 2nd Edition will take place at the famous Jakkur Aerodrome, Bangalore, on September 24 and 25, 2016.
DriveSpark is the Official Online Media Partner for the 2nd Edition of Vroom drag race, and here's a little teaser as to what one can expect at Vroom drag races -- Be There or Be Spared!

The drag race championship will see participants from all over India competing, from old-school two-stroke motorcycles, to the very advanced sport bikes such as the BMW S1000RR, HP4, Hayabusas that run on nitrous oxide, and the supercharged Kawasaki H2. So will the cars, from highly tuned Honda Citys' that can out run an Audi R8, to Ferraris' and Lamborghinis'.
