Tata Motors To Hike ICE Vehicle Prices By 0.5% From April 1
Tata Motors will increase prices across its ICE passenger vehicle range by 0.5 per cent from April 1, 2026. The revision will apply to Tata's petrol, diesel and CNG-powered models, while its electric vehicles will remain unaffected.
Tata Motors has attributed the price hike to rising input costs, including higher raw material and component prices, along with increased manufacturing expenses. The increase is aimed at partially offsetting these costs.
The price hike, which will come into effect on April 1st, applies across Tata's ICE passenger vehicle portfolio, which currently spans nine models across hatchback, sedan and SUV segments. This includes entry-level models such as the Tiago and Tigor, premium hatchbacks like the Altroz, and SUVs including the Punch, Nexon, Curvv, Sierra, Harrier and Safari. Tata Motors has currently not indicated if it will be hiking its EV lineup prices.
A 0.5 per cent increase translates to a revision of approximately ₹2,285 to ₹12,980 across Tata's ICE lineup, depending on the model and variant. The final increase will vary based on the ex-showroom price of each vehicle and its variants.

Price revisions at the start of a new financial year are a common industry practice. And Tata's decision to hike the prices of its ICE vehicles doesn't come as a big surprise, and we expect other major car manufacturers to follow suit. Luxury carmakers BMW and Mercedes-Benz have already confirmed steeper increases of up to 2 per cent across their respective lineups, which shows the broader cost pressures currently across the automotive sector.
