India auto giant Maruti has announced benefits and discounts for November. Discounts and benefits have been extended to the company's Ciaz, S-Cross, Ignis, and Baleno models. Here is what the manufacturer is offering.
Maruti Suzuki launched the Ciaz in 2014 and the sedan received a mid-cycle facelift last year. The vehicle is fairly powerful, and is very spacious. The Ciaz comes with 1.5-litre petrol and diesel, and 1.3-litre diesel engine options. The company offers a manual transmission as a standard, but offers an automatic transmission for the petrol engine.
The company is offering discounts and benefits of up to Rs 70,000 on the Sigma and Delta trims (petrol MT), and up to Rs 60,000 off on top-of-the-line trims. Automatic variants carry discounts and benefits of up to Rs 60,000.
Diesel models have better discounts and benefits on offer. The more powerful 1.5-litre unit comes with discounts and benefits of up to Rs 70,000, and the smaller 1.3-litre unit comes with discounts and benefits of up to Rs 1 lakh. In addition, buyers can pick a free five-year extended warranty or avail equivalent savings instead.
The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz is priced between Rs 8.20 lakh and Rs 11.38 lakh (ex-showroom, India, and without discounts).
The S-Cross is essentially a crossover, however it does not offer the butch, upright stance, and high seating position that is currently a crowd favourite. The S-Cross was the company's first product to be sold via its NEXA dealerships.
The Maruti Suzuki S-Cross features a 1.3-litre diesel engine that produces 90bhp of power and 200Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a five-speed manual transmission. The company is offering discounts and benefits of up to Rs 95,000 on the Sigma and Delta trims, and discounts and benefits of up to Rs 85,000 on the top-spec Zeta and Alpha trims.
The Maruti Suzuki S-Cross is priced between Rs 8.81 lakh and Rs 11.44 lakh (ex-showroom, India, and without discounts).
The Ignis has to be the funniest looking hatchback in Maruti's line up. The car is light, and feels peppy. The vehicle is available is seven variants, and four colours. All variants feature the same petrol engine.
The Ignis hatchback features a 1.2-litre petrol engine that produces 82bhp of power and 113Nm of torque. Transmission options include a five-speed manual and a five-speed automatic. The company is offering discounts and benefit of up to Rs 60,000 on the Ignis for the month of November.
The Maruti Suzuki Ignis is priced between Rs 4.74 lakh and Rs 7.10 lakh (ex-showroom, India, and without discounts).
The Baleno is a premium hatchback that is retailed exclusively via the company's NEXA network of dealers. The vehicle is feature rich, and it very comfortable. The vehicle is available in 14 variants and six colours.
Engine options on the Baleno include a 1.2-litre petrol unit that produces 83bhp of power and 115Nm of torque. The petrol engine is also available as a mild-hybrid variant that produces 90bhp of power.
The company also offers a 1.3-litre diesel unit that produces 74bhp of power and 190Nm of torque. The Baleno RS variant features a1.0-litre turbo-petrol unit that produces 102bhp of power and 150 NM of torque. A five-speed manual transmission is offered as standard, and a CVT automatic is available only for the Alpha (non-hybrid) trim.
The company is offering discounts and benefits of up to Rs 40,000 on the BS-VI compliant petrol models, up to Rs 55,000 on BS-IV compliant models, up Rs 50,000 on diesel models (plus a five-year extended warranty), and discounts and benefits of up to Rs 75,000 on the Baleno RS.
The Baleno is currently priced between Rs 5.59 lakh and Rs 8.90 lakh (ex-showroom, India, and without discounts).
Thoughts About Maruti's November Discounts
Those are impressive benefits and offers by Maruti. The company is doing all it can to ensure sales numbers keep rising, and doing what they can to sell off BS-IV compliant models. We think this is good time to invest in a Maruti. We also expect that benefits and discounts will keep running until the BS-VI norms kick in on 1 April 2020.
