Maruti Suzuki Ignis Exterior And Interior Design

Maruti Suzuki Ignis Exterior And Interior Design

The Maruti Suzuki Ignis has a small silhouette. However, the modern design and styling of the hatchback offers an impressive overall stance to the car. The Ignis comes with a prominent front fascia. The large LED projector headlamps flanking a sleek grille on either side. The front grille comes with chrome accents surrounding the entire grille as well as the headlamp units. The front fascia also consists of a large bumper with integrated fog lamps, again with chrome surrounds.

The side profile also continues with the sporty and modern look of the car. The sharp shoulder lines, flared wheel arches and the 15-inch alloy wheels add to the muscular look. The three-slats on the C-pillar provide the finishing touches. Moving to the rear, the Maruti Suzuki Ignis has a rather subjective design with a sloping windshield, wrap around tail lights and the thick-black cladding with the reflectors.

Inside, the Maruti Suzuki Ignis continues to carry forward the same sporty design. The dual-tone dashboard, with the floating central display add to the look and feel of the interiors. The Maruti Suzuki Ignis also comes with contrasting accents, which add to the sporty character of the exterior as well.

Maruti Suzuki sells the Ignis exclusively through its premium NEXA dealerships. To help attract more customers towards the quirky small hatchback, the Ignis is offered in a range of nine paint schemes: six single-tone and three dual-tone colour options %u2014 Nexa Blue, Glistening Grey, Tinsel Blue, Pearl Arctic White, Silky Silver, Uptown Red, Tinsel Blue/Arctic White, Tinsel Blue/ Midnight Black and Uptown Red and Midnight Black.

Maruti Suzuki Ignis Engine And Performance

Maruti Suzuki Ignis Engine And Performance

The Maruti Suzuki Ignis comes powered by a single petrol engine option. This is the standard 1.2-litre unit producing 82bhp and 113Nm of torque. The engine is further mated to either a five-speed manual gearbox or the optional AMT.

The Maruti Suzuki Ignis is a quirky little hatchback. It offers plenty of fun while driving. The engine offers decent performance, especially in the low and mid-range. The Ignis is also lightweight, which further help improve the performance, handling and the fun character of the premium small hatchback from Maruti Suzuki.

The suspension has been set up well, absorbing most road undulations. Braking is handled by discs at the front and drum at the rear. However, due to the low weight of the hatchback, the brakes feel sufficient, with little to no hesitancy to stop even under hard braking.

The small turning radius, light clutch and steering further improve the Ignis ability to tackle city traffic with ease. The car feels stable on the highway as well, however, push it hard and the car does feel a bit stressed at higher revs.
