Top-Selling Cars In India May 2018: Maruti Suzuki Dzire Tops The List

Based on the Maruti Swift, the Dzire is the most popular compact-sedan in the Indian market. The car was launched back in 2008 as a full-size sedan version of the Swift hatchback was called the ‘Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire'. The second version reduced its dimensions to under four metres. Now, the third avatar offers a lot of improvements over the previous model and is called just the ‘Maruti Suzuki Dzire'. The car uses the same petrol and diesel engine as in the Swift hatchback.

Maruti Suzuki Alto

If we take the long run, the Maruti Alto will be the most-sold car in India ever. The hatchback can be considered as an improved version of the legendary Maruti 800. The Alto is available in both 800cc and 1.0-litre options and is one of the best cars to start driving, if you are not particularly good at it. The Alto K10 showcases decent performance for a budget car while also offering the basic features you would need.

Verdict

Maruti Suzuki, with their 35-plus-year legacy, seems to be unmatchable when it comes to sales figures. The excellent service network across the country and the trust in the brand are also some important reasons for the brand's success.
