New Hyundai Santro Garners 14,000 Bookings Ahead Of Launch
Hyundai will launch the all-new Santro in the Indian market on October 23. 2018 and online bookings are already open. Now, CarandBike reports that the new Hyundai Santro has received over 14,000 bookings ahead of its launch. The booking numbers clearly reflect the popularity of the new Hyundai Santro 2018.
The report states that the new Hyundai Santro has garnered 14,208 bookings within the first nine days. The new Hyundai Santro can be booked online by making an advanced payment of Rs 11,100. Despite the lack of details such as variants and pricing, customers have gone ahead and booked the top-spec Asta trim.
According to the report, the customers have also booked the Sportz AMT trim of the new Hyundai Santro. Majority of bookings are from South Indian states that include Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka and Kerala. The booking numbers do not include the data from October 18 and hence the numbers are expected to go up.
Currently, the bookings are open online and the dealers are not accepting bookings. Hyundai had opened the bookings for the new Santro from October 10, 2018, after the hatchback was revealed on October 9, 2018. The new Hyundai Santro features a new design language with the cascading grille up front, sweptback headlamps and black plastic treatment at the front. The rear of the hatchback gets a large windshield, newly designed tail light cluster and new bumper. The new Hyundai Santro retains the tall-boy stance of the original car.
The interior of the new Hyundai Santro features a dual-tone theme with black and beige treatment. The top-spec trim of the new Santro will be loaded with features such as a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Other features include rear AC vents, steering-mounted controls, electrically adjustable ORVMs and rear wiper.
The new Hyundai Santro will be equipped with standard safety features such as driver airbag, ABS with EBD and reverse parking sensors. The top-spec variant will also feature passenger airbag and reverse parking camera.

The new Hyundai Santro is one of the most awaited cars in the Indian market and the hatchback has created quite a buzz ahead of its launch. The new Santro has already garnered over 14,000 bookings that reflects the popularity of the Santro brand.
