Mahindra S201 SUV's interior spy pics have been leaked online, and they clearly show what you can expect in the upcoming Maruti Brezza-rival. Mahindra is all set to launch the new and highly-anticipated S201 five-seater SUV on the Indian market in the near future.
From the newly-leaked spy images of the Mahindra S201, it is evident that it has one of the best interiors in its segment. Being based on the SsangYong Tivoli sold in global markets, the Mahindra S201 features upmarket interiors with enough features.
The spy pics shared by GaadiWaadi also reveal some of the exterior details of the Mahindra S201. The term ‘S201' is a codename given to the upcoming five-seater SUV and some even claim that it will be called the Mahindra XUV 300 when it is officially unveiled — read more details here!
Once launched, the Mahindra S201 will compete in one of the most competitive segments on the Indian market — five-seater compact-SUVs (including those under four metres). This particular segment is ruled by the Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Creta, Ford EcoSport and even the upcoming Tata Harrier will mark its presence.
This is not the first time when spy pics of the Mahindra S201 have emerged. We have also managed to spot it multiple times ahead of its unveiling. In fact, we have even come across all the Mahindra S201 variants together. However, this is the first time the spy images of the interior have come up.
The new Mahindra S201 will come powered by the same 1.5-litre diesel engine found in the recently-launched Marazzo MPV, in which it makes 128bhp and 320Nm of torque. A five-speed manual and an automatic unit (coupled to a 1.2-litre petrol engine) will be on offer as per initial reports.
Thoughts On The Mahindra S201 Spy Pics
The Mahindra S201 is undergoing extensive testing procedures across the country in the bid to make it a serious contender in its segment. Mahindra has already launched their flagship Alturas G4 (read the comprehensive review) at a compelling price tag, and we expect the same to happen for the S201 (or the Mahindra XUV 300).
