New Jeep Compass Variants To Launch In The Next Six Months — Includes The Night Eagle & Trailhawk
New Jeep Compass variants are expected to be launched in the coming six months. In a recent press conference, Jeep India has shared their business plans for the next five years in the country along with some minor details of two new upcoming models. One of the models will be a compact-SUV to rival the Maruti Brezza, Tata Nexon and Ford EcoSport – most probably, the Jeep Renegade. The other one is supposedly a seven-seater to rival the Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour.
The American automotive manufacturer is doing really well in terms of sales with their entry-level Jeep Compass and the new variants are expected to boost the numbers even more. As per GaadiWaadi, the upcoming Jeep Compass variants will include the Night Eagle and the top-of-the-line TrailHawk.
The Jeep Compass was recently introduced in a limited-edition Bedrock variant which is based on the base Sport trim. It brought some cosmetic enhancements, along with new features on the inside.
The Jeep Compass Trailhawk is the best-looking variant in the range and dealerships across India has unofficially started its bookings for Rs 50,000. It is based on the top ‘Limited' trim and comes with moreequipment including a new ‘Rock' mode which makes use of Jeep's Active Drive low-range 4x4 system.
The Jeep Compass Night Eagle is also based on the ‘Limited' trim and carries only cosmetic enhancements. The Compass Nigh Eagle has got a different set of 18-inch alloy wheels and a lot of gloss black elements. There are only two colour choices: solid Shadow Black or metallic Carbon Black.
The Jeep Compass comes in both petrol and diesel formats. The 2.0-litre MultiJet diesel engine makes 170bhp and 350Nm of torque and comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The 1.4-litre MultiAir turbocharged petrol unit produces 160bhp and 250Nm of torque. The engine is available mated to a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed automatic.

The expected ex-showroom prices for the upcoming variants are as follows:
- Dark Eagle petrol – Rs 21 lakh
- Dark Eagle diesel – Rs 22.5 lakh
- Trailhawk petrol – Rs 21.5 lakh
- Trailhawk diesel – Rs 23.5 lakh
