Newly Launched Maruti S-Cross Facelift Makes A Significant Impact In October Sales
Top 10 selling SUVs in October 2017.
The most lucrative and popular four-wheeler segment currently in India is the SUV. While Ford started off the competition with the sub-four-metre EcoSport, Hyundai launched the stylish Creta and later Maruti launched the current best-selling SUV Vitara Brezza in India.
There is no turning back for the Japanese carmaker with Brezza; the compact SUV has been clocking close to 10,000 units a month in recent months. So how did the SUV segment perform in the festive period of October 2017?
Here are the top 10 selling SUVs in October 2017 in India.
Maruti Suzuki continues to lead the pack with the Brezza. The company sold 11,684 units of the Brezza in October 2017, 2,438 units more than that of the second best-selling SUV, the Hyundai Creta.

However, the most significant model is the refreshed Maruti S-Cross, Maruti has sold 5,510 units of the facelifted S-Cross in October 2017. The company must be reaping the benefits of restyling the S-Cross with a better front profile.
Ahead of the Maruti S-Cross is Mahindra Bolero which has clocked 8,395 units in October 2017. And sitting right below the S-Cross is the Honda WR-V, Honda sold 3,443 units of the WR-V and edged passed the Mahindra Scorpio by 21 units. Mahindra sold 3,422 units of the Scorpio in October 2017.
Newly launched Tata Nexon seems to be turning around the sagging sales of Tata Motors. With a stylish design and price-conscious Nexon, the company has sold 3,099 units of the compact SUV in the first month of its sale in the country.
Mahindra TUV300, Jeep Compass, and Toyota Fortuner make it the remaining list of top 10 selling SUVs in October. While Mahindra sold 2,781 units of the TUV300, Jeep impressed by selling 2,455 units of the Compass. Last but not the least, Toyota manages to sell 2,192 units of the Fortuner despite crunch in production capacity.
