German luxury carmaker Audi has teased a new autonomous concept for the upcoming 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show which begins next week.
The new autonomous Audi concept will be joined by another level 4 coupe design study on the show floor along with the all-new Audi A8, a rear-wheel drive variant of the R8 supercar and the new RS4 Avant when the Frankfurt Motor Show opens its doors to the public next week.
The new Audi concept set to be revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show this year will feature Level 5 autonomy, which means that the car will not require any human input to drive itself around. The fully autonomous car is a D segment car and uses four motors, one on each wheel, to propel itself around and features a range between 700 and 800 kilometers. The interior and exterior design of the concept is described by Audi as spectacular and groundbreaking.
Audi will also showcase another concept at Frankfurt along with the new Audi R8 GT, the new -rear-wheel drive variant of Audi's halo supercar which will rival its brother from another mother, the Lamborghini Huracan LP 580-2. Audi will also take the covers of the RS4 Avant, the hot version of the A4 estate car.
Audi is set to dazzle us at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show with the new A8, R8 GT, RS4 Avant and two concepts. The model onslaught is expected considering this a home show for the German automotive icon whose main rivals BMW and Mercedes are set to reveal a large SUV (BMW X7 concept) and a hybrid hypercar (Mercedes-AMG Project One).
