Ford To Launch Fiesta Facelift In June 2014

Ford India had revealed its plan to launch a facelift for its Fiesta sedan at the 2014 Auto Expo held in New Delhi. we now hear that the American based manufacturer is planning to launch the 2014 version of Fiesta in June, 2014.

As reported earlier Ford is expected to launch only the diesel variant first. The 2014 Fiesta will be made available in a petrol trim later this year end. There is no reason in particular why Ford is launching the diesel before the petrol, perhaps they believe the diesel will be the most preferable buyers choice.

The American based manufacturer had showcased the Fiesta facelift sedan at the 2014 Auto Expo held in India. The 2014 version of Fiesta had subtle changes on the exterior, which makes its more appealing. However, the majority of upgrades are within the cabin of the 2014 Fiesta.

The interior of the sedan gets features like engine start/stop button, driver seat height adjustment, climate control, cruise control, auto headlamps, guide me home lamps and many more creature comforts.

2014 Ford Fiesta will be packed with safety features like dual airbags, Anti-lock Braking System(ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution(EBD), SYNC with emergency assist, rear parking sensors and several other safety features.

On the outside Ford have redesigned the bumpers for a sporty look, the headlamps and foglamps have been repositioned and redesigned. The grille in front will look even more bold as it gets chrome embellishment. The sedan will drive on a new set of sporty looking alloy wheels. The rear gets an update only in the form of redesigned taillight cluster.

The facelift version of Fiesta will sport a 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel powered mill. The engine is capable of producing 90 horsepower and will be paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. We expect the petrol powered Fiesta will sport a 1.5-litre as well as Ford's revolutionary 1.0-litre EcoBoost engine could also be offered.
