The improved engine performance has been achieved by incorporating parts and technology from the GT-R Nismo GT3 race car. These include the use of much larger turbochargers, larger air intakes, sports spec exhaust system and modified ignition timing.
The Nismo tuned Nissan GT-R will come with 255/40RT-20 run flat Dunlop SP Sport Maxx GT 600 DSST tyres for increased grip.

Nissan will also make available an optional track package. This adds, lightweight carbon fiber body parts, front splitter and a large rear spoiler. The track pack will bring down the weight of the car by a significant, 64.8 kilos. The package will also include several chassis tweaks, manually adjustable Ohlins suspensions among other improvements.
With the track package equipped Michael Krumm, an ex-FIA GT1 champion drove the Nissan GT-R Nismo around the Nurburgring in 7:08.69 last month, which is proof enough of the car's immense performance capabilities.
