Honda Mobilio Production In India To Commence From March
Honda will start production of Mobilio MPV in India at its Tapukara, Rajasthan, facility starting from March, reports Financial Express, citing their sources. Deliveries will reportedly commence soon after, possibly in the months of April or May.
However, a company executive speaking about the matter has stated production will indeed begin during the first half of 2014 at its Tapukara, but the decision regarding the models to be build in the facility has not been taken.

What can, however, be concluded from this is that Mobilio will be the first new Honda model in 2014. The all new Jazz hatchback will only be launched later in the year. More likely during the festive season.
Developed in Thailand and Japan, the upcoming Honda Mobilio, an MPV version of Amaze hatchback was unveiled in Indonesia in September. Mobilio will share several of its components with the Amaze (mainly interior parts) as well as with the new City (engine and gearbox).

Honda Mobilio is most likely to be powered by the same 1.5 liter i-DTEC Earth Dreams diesel and 1.5 liter i-VTEC petrol engines that will are found in the new City.
Honda Mobilio MPV will compete with Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and Chevrolet Enjoy. Expect it to priced similarly, at around INR 7 lakhs.
