Tata Motors has launched the Sierra EV in India at a starting price of Rs 18.79 lakh (ex-showroom). Built on the same Acti.ev+ platform as the Tata Harrier EV, the Sierra EV is designed to handle varied road conditions while delivering excellent range and performance.

1. Fully Loaded Base Variant

The Sierra EV is offered with two battery pack options, while the base variant starts at just Rs 18.79 lakh. Despite its aggressive pricing, Tata has packed it with premium features such as bi-LED projector headlamps, a 31.24cm infotainment system, an 8-speaker audio system, ESP, iRA connected tech, a digital cockpit, rain-sensing wipers, rear-view camera with park assist, all-wheel disc brakes, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and Ultra Glide suspension as standard.

2. Quad-wheel-drive (QWD) setup

Powering the Sierra EV is a strong QWD setup producing 306 PS and 504 Nm of torque, making it one of the most powerful compact electric SUVs in its segment. It can sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 5.8 seconds.

3. Massive Battery And Long Range

The Sierra EV comes with 65 kWh and 75 kWh battery pack options. The smaller battery offers a claimed range of 565 km, while the larger pack delivers up to 665 km on a single charge. With DC fast charging, it can add up to 263 km of range in just 15 minutes.

4. Serious Off-Road Capability

Tata showcased the Sierra EV conquering the Tal Moreeb dune in the UAE, one of the world's toughest dunes. Thanks to its six terrain modes - Normal, Grass/Snow, Mud/Gravel, Sand, Rock Crawl, and Custom - the SUV climbed the steep incline using Sand mode and Boost mode, unlocking its full torque potential and also proving its superior off-road capabilities.

5. Advanced Acti.ev+ Platform

Sharing its architecture with the Harrier EV, the Sierra EV benefits from Tata's advanced Acti.ev+ platform, offering high cabin space, safety, and versatility. The Tata Harrier EV is already one of the most powerful electric SUVs in its segment, and the Tata Sierra EV is expected to carry forward similar characteristics with its shared platform and performance-focused setup.

It also gets premium features like Level 2 ADAS, a 12-speaker JBL sound system, triple-screen setup, V2L charging, panoramic sunroof, digital key access, HUD, six airbags, powered tailgate, Summon Mode, and Drive Pay.
