Skoda India Breaks Sales Record Again In 2026 As Kylaq Drives Strong Growth

Skoda Auto India has continued its strong momentum from last year into the first half of 2026, posting its highest-ever half-yearly sales in the country. The Czech carmaker sold 38,894 units between January and June 2026, marking a 7.5 percent growth compared to the same period last year.

Record Sales for Skoda In H1 2026

This milestone adds to Skoda's record-breaking 2025 performance in India, further strengthening its position in the premium passenger vehicle segment. The company's latest growth has been driven by a refreshed product portfolio, expanding customer reach, and strong demand across key models like the Skoda Kylaq, Skoda Kushaq, and Skoda Slavia.

Commenting on the milestone, Ashish Gupta, Brand Director of Skoda Auto India, said, "Our record half-yearly sales reflect the growing confidence and trust customers place in the Skoda brand. In 2026, we have strengthened this connection through a focused product offensive, customer-first initiatives, and an unwavering commitment to excellence."

He further added, "The demand for the new Kushaq, updated Kodiaq, and the all-new Skoda Kodiaq RS highlights strong market momentum, while the Kylaq continues to drive volumes and the Slavia reinforces our sedan legacy. Kylaq Continues To Lead Volumes

Skoda credited the continued volume contribution from the Kylaq, while the Slavia remains an important pillar of its sedan lineup. As part of its growth strategy, the company has expanded its network to more than 340 touchpoints across India. It has also launched Skoda Express Care to improve aftersales convenience and ownership experience for customers.

Beyond sales, Skoda has also reinforced its motorsport heritage. Its lineup, including the Skoda Slavia Monte Carlo, Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo, Kylaq, Kodiaq, and the limited-edition Skoda Octavia RS, recently set an India and Asia Book of Records title for the fastest multi-car relay by a single manufacturer at the CoASTT circuit in Coimbatore, clocking a combined lap time of 12:30.97.

With this, the brand has also rolled out its 'Greatest On A Track is a Skoda On A Track' campaign, highlighting its engineering and dynamic capabilities while sustaining its growth momentum in India. Adding to its momentum, Skoda recently reintroduced its flagship performance SUV, the Skoda Kodiaq RS, in limited numbers, with the entire allocation selling out in just six minutes.
