Design

Hyundai Creta is designed with their new fluidic sculpture 2.0 and looks sharper along the edges. The compact SUV looks like its category and it defines itself with its tall stance and the triple slat chrome grille feels dynamic.

The Creta automatic differentiates itself from the other variants with roof rails, dual tone radiator grille, rear silver garnish finish, chrome finish door handles and shark fin antenna.

Performance

The Creta automatic is powered by 1.6litre CRDi 4-cylinder diesel engine with 16 valves, which produces 126bhp at 4,000rpm and 260Nm of torque at 1,900 to 2,750rpm range, this is mated to the 6-speed automatic gearbox and not an AMT (Automatic Manual Transmission).

Features

The Hyundai Creta Automatic is loaded with features like rear parking sensor and camera, bi-functional headlamp, cornering and LED positioning lamps, fully automatic with mood change bar air conditioning.

It also features the touch screen audio video, navigation infotainment system with Bluetooth. The Steering wheel is mounted with audio controls and hands-free Bluetooth access and lots more.

Safety

The automatic variant of the Creta is fitted with dual airbags in the front and ABS with EBD, impact sensing door unlock.

This variant misses out on the side and curtain airbags, ESC (Electronic Stability Control), HAC (Hill-start Assist Control), height adjustable front and passenger seats and speed sensing door lock.

Price

The Creta Automatic is priced at Rs. 14.38 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi).

Verdict

The Hyundai Creta Automatic is in the segment of its own, the nearest rivals are the Renault Duster, Ford EcoSport and Mahindra XUV500.

Comparing to its rivals, the Creta misses out on features like Hill-start Assist Control, ESC and other SUV features for the price tag it commands. The SUV is a good on its ergonomics and drivability and feels very confident to drive.

Hyundai is second best in terms of post sales service with it dealers and service centres, this makes it easier even after you buy the compact SUV.
