Design - Renault 2016 Duster AMT vs Hyundai Creta Automatic
The new 2016 Duster automatic has not changed much except for the clustered headlamps and LED taillamps and a new set of diamond cut alloy wheels. The compact SUV is more rounded and imposing with the front fascia.
The Creta, on the other hand, is fluidic in design and sharper in its front and rear profile. The eyebrow shaped headlamp gives it an aggressive stance.

Engine Specifications & Gearbox - Renault 2016 Duster AMT vs Hyundai Creta Automatic
The 2016 Duster AMT is powered by 1.5 litre diesel engine which pushes out 108bhp at 4,000rpm and 248Nm of torque at 2,250rpm. This is mated to the 6-speed automatic transmission. Both these are front wheel drive and do not come with four-wheel drive.
As for the Hyundai Creta automatic, it is powered by 1.6 litre diesel engine which produces 126bhp at 4,000rpm and 260Nm of torque at 2,750rpm. This mated to 6-speed automatic gearbox.

Features - Renault 2016 Duster AMT vs Hyundai Creta Automatic
The Renault Duster AMT features the Easy-R dial as the gear shift knob and this has been developed with their in-house Formula One expertise. It also features the Eco Mode option to have better mileage, 7-inch multi-information display with MediaNav for hands-free operations, electrically adjustable ORVMs, Cruise control and gear shift indicator.
The Creta AMT features automatic climate control, smart key with push button start/stop option, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs, rear AC vent, touch screen audio/video navigation with Bluetooth and various other features.

Safety - Renault 2016 Duster AMT vs Hyundai Creta Automatic
The Duster AMT comes with Dual Airbags, ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), and EBD (Electronic brakeforce distribution) with BA (Brake Assist). Rapid deceleration warning, ESP (Electronic Stability Program), Hill Start Assist and a whole lot of features.
The Creta, on the other hand, comes with Dual Airbags and ABS with EBD, also, it features the ESC (Electronic Stability Control) and VSM (Vehicle Stability Management control). The SUV features like the Hill Start Assist and Static Bending Lights.

Renault has priced its compact SUV competitively and could score over the Hyundai. Hyundai will score over when it comes to the post-sales service as it has the second largest network. Renault will have to increase its dealerships and service centre to gain a foothold in the market as the Duster is seeing a downward trend in sales.
