TVS Patent Air-Injection System For Better Fuel Economy
TVS Motors has secured a patent for its revolutionary technology that will provide improved fuel economy. Chennai-based two and three-wheeler manufacturer has patented their air-injection system. The patent was filed way back in 2008 and has finally been approved.
In the patent filed, TVS Motors claims that their air-injection system reduces exhaust emission. The reduction is exhaust emission will enhance fuel economy. During the process of deceleration, TVS Motors has also developed its system to provide less fuel to the engine.
First examination report was published during 2014. It was followed by a hearing for TVS Motors in April 2016. The manufacturer has finally received the patent and we can expect it to be seen on several of their models in the near future.
The Chennai-based manufacturer also received another patent for lubrication mechanism in the crankcase assembly. A splash and shower lubrication can be achieved by a single drive mechanism. With this technology, TVS Motors claim that a separate pump can be eliminated.
