Dani Pedrosa Steals The Limelight From Rossi & Lorenzo In Japan
Dani Pedrosa wins his very race of 2015 MotoGP Championship. The Spaniard since his debut has always managed to secure a race win in the premier class. He stood on top of the podium at Honda's home race.
Early into the race it looked like Jorge Lorenzo was running away with another race win. The competition was only for second place and Rossi was being pressurised by several riders.
Japanese GP is known for its unpredictable nature and the 2015 race began under wet conditions. Unfortunately, the track started drying out soon towards the closing stage of MotoGP.
Pedrosa who was down in fourth place was riding at a constant pace in tricky conditions. His light structure and smooth riding style aided him in preserving his tyres for a longer period. This promised him a sure shot at the podium by the end.
Jorge Lorenzo was the first to suffer from tyre degradation and was off the pace during the end. Pedrosa chased down Rossi with relative ease who gave up his spot without any resistance.
Next in sight was Lorenzo who did not stand a chance against the might of Honda and better tyres. Surprisingly Rossi followed Pedrosa and it was evident that ‘The Doctor' would try placing his bike ahead of Lorenzo's.
Movistar Yamaha was pleased that both riders finished on the podium in second and third place. It is worth mentioning that Marc Marquez who rode Japanese GP with a broken left hand rode valiantly for a fourth place finish.
Lorenzo now trails Rossi by just 18 points and only three races remain to crown a new MotoGP Champion. Next race is scheduled for 18th of October 2015 at Phillip Island, Australia.
