Mahindra Celebrates National Road Safety Week 2015 Across India
Indian automobile giant Mahindra has had a successful 2014. They have launched their next-gen Scorpio, alongside it they launched their new scooter called Gusto. The manufacturer also plans to celebrate National Road Safety Week 2015 in India.
More than 400 Mahindra dealerships from all over India will be joining in National Road Safety Week 2015. The manufacturer will be joining SIAM-SAFE and the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. Their goal is to create awareness regarding road safety.
Sanjoy Gupta, Vice President - Customer Care, Automotive Division, Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd. commented, "As responsible corporate citizens, we at Mahindra are committed towards making India's roads safer. Today, most accidents are caused due to driver negligence and improper road etiquette."
He further added, "Hence, it is our responsibility to educate people about road safety. Through activities at various touch points, we are trying to educate the drivers of today and the generation of tomorrow, thereby helping them to imbibe values of road safety from a young age."
Mahindra has set their theme as ‘Safety is not just a slogan, it's a way of life.' They will be organising several activities for dealership staff and drivers. The manufacturer will also hold competitions and video presentations for school going kids and customers' children.
Accidents and road rage are on a rise in India and our driving style is not the very best. The government is trying to improve the road infrastructure, traffic engineering and other road systems. Individuals also have to do their part by inculcating better road etiquette and awareness.
