SML Isuzu Introduces CNG-Run Truck Sartaj HG72 In Jaipur
SML Isuzu has introduced its CNG-run truck in the Jaipur market. The company is utilising the CNG infrastructure built by Rajasthan State Gas.
Utilising the CNG infrastructure built by Rajasthan State Gas along the Jaipur-Delhi highway, SML Isuzu launches its CNG-run truck Sartaj HG72 in Jaipur market.
SML Isuzu has delivered its first CNG-run truck and the company expects that since the trucks entering Delhi have to pay the Green tax of Rs 1,400, the CNG vehicles are the best viable option.
Rajasthan State Gas has set up a mother station at Neemrana with a capacity to provide CNG fuel to 250 cars or 50 trucks daily. Apart from that, another station has been set up in Kukas which will cater the domestic, automotive, commercial and industrial customers.
On a round trip from Jaipur to Delhi, a CNG vehicle can save up to Rs 2,330 compared to a conventional diesel vehicle, which also includes the Green tax of Rs 1,400.
As per the industry estimates a CNG-run vehicle incurs about 5 percent less maintenance cost. And on a monthly basis, if 20 trips are taken across Jaipur to Delhi a CNG vehicle will save up to Rs 5.59 lakh.
Managing Director of RSGL, Ravi Agarwal said, "The CNG vehicle launch by SML Isuzu in Jaipur is first by any company in the state. In order to further encourage the adoption of CNG-powered vehicles, we are planning to set up two more stations along the Jaipur-Delhi highway."
Agarwal added that as the National Green tribunal is speculating to retire vehicles of 15 years or more in Delhi, it is expected that this law will be extended to several other cities too. The concern over rising pollution levels is increasing and CNG vehicles are the best bet to cope with the situation.
