Peugeot Unveils Instinct Concept; Features Self-Driving Technologies
The Peugeot Instinct Concept also comes with an ability to change its behaviour depending on what the user may want.
Peugeot has revealed its Instinct Concept ahead of its public debut at the Geneva Motor Show 2017 next month. The concept features a new range of intelligent new technologies for making the driving experience more connected.
One of the key features of the concept model is the ‘Internet of Things' platform. This system works with Samsung Artik Cloud and syncs with the user's various devices. This system will help the car to learn about the lifestyle of the driver and adjust its settings to suit the driver's interest.
The Peugeot Instinct Concept also comes with an ability to change its behaviour depending on what the user may want. For example, if the car is connected to user's smartwatch it can read the data and will understand that the driver was working out in a gym and thus will configure itself to provide a relaxing and smooth ride home.
Add to that, the Instinct Concept is fully autonomous but the driver can switch off this mode and can take the control anytime he/she want. It can be done through an i-Device which is placed next to the 9.7-inch touchscreen display and replaces a traditional steering wheel and pedals.
The seats have also been optimised to make the most of autonomous driving and drivers can fully recline it whenever they want to rest. It can also be moved to an upright position if the driver intends to take the wheel.
Speaking about the exterior design, the Instinct Concept has a mix of style and technology. The headlights of the model come with small cameras which will scan the road in front and gives feedback with the driving assistance systems.
