Lexus Issues Partial Recall For 2017 ES 350
Toyota Motor North America has stated that it is conducting a safety recall of some of the Lexus ES 350.
Toyota Motor North America has stated that it is conducting a safety recall of some of the Lexus ES 350 manufactured in 2017 in the US market.
The recall has affected 1,760 models to be precise. It is said that the right-hand side tie rod assembly might not be installed correctly in some of the vehicles.
The improper installation of tie rod might lead to rattling noise, vehicle drifting to the right or left while driving or complete loss of steering control. If the driver loses the steering control, the risk of a crash is very high.
The dealers will confirm that the tie rod nut is correctly installed in all the models. Lexus stated that if the lock nut is found loose, it will be replaced. The steering gear assembly and rod assembly will also be replaced.
DriveSpark Thinks!
If there is any defect in the steering system of a vehicle, then it may lead to a major crash. So, rectifying the issue before it gets worst is a good call from Lexus. At the same time, it is surprising that how could this happen after the vehicle has undergone a thorough quality check.
