Spy Pics: Production Ready Tata Kite 5 Spotted, Reveals Interiors
The Tata Kite 5 sedan has been spotted in production-ready guise once again.
The Tiago based sedan is expected to launch later this year and will replace the ageing Indigo eCS as Tata's go-to car in the sub 4-metre sedan category.
The production ready Kite 5 see this time was done up in white and featured a rather large brake light that stretched across the rear window. Also seen was the small lip spoiler on top of the boot lid.
The spy pics also revealed the interiors of the car properly for the first time and from what we can make out, nothing much has changed compared to the Tiago.
The Kite 5 or whatever it will be called when it finally hits the road, inherits the same Multimedia system, so the madcap Harmann audio system will take care of all your music needs on long trips.
Also the same, is the dual tone layered theme for the dash. However, the controllers for the air conditioning system do seem to have been given a more upmarket look and also seem to be doing a lot more than what they do in the Tiago.
Just in front of the dash sits the 5-speed manual gearbox which also does duty on the Tiago. However, an AMT gearbox could also be in the works as Tata is currently testing one out on the Tiago.
