Porsche has fitted all the 911 variants on sale in india with Sport Chrono package which gives drivers four different driving modes — Normal, Sport, Sport Plus and Individual.
Also added is a Sport response button, which prepares the engine for a 20-second burst of maximum acceleration. In the cases of both the Turbo and Turbo S Cabriolet, it also makes the engine pump out an extra 50Nm of torque.
Porsche has also fitted the cars with rear-wheel steering. This means that the rear wheels will slightly turn in the opposite direction to the front wheels during turns under 50km/h for improved agility through the corners.
Porsche 911 Design
Porsche hardly ever does wholesale tweaks with regards to the 911's design and that remains the case here.
There are new bumpers at either end of the car and up front, there are active air intakes along with vents for cooling down the engine at the rear.
A new set of headlamps with LED daytime running lights are present up front while at the rear, the tail lamps have also been tweaked and the engine has got a new cover as well.
Inside sits an updated Porsche Communication Management (PCM) touchscreen infotainment system with access to both Apple Car Play and Android Auto.
Cars fitted with the Sport Chrono package get a new four-mode switch rotary knob on the steering wheel which is inspired by the one on the 918 hypercar.
Porsche 911 Rivals
The Porsche 911 will butt heads with the Mercedes AMG GT and the Jaguar F-Type along with the Ferrari 488 GTB and the Lamborghini Huracan (the final two are rivals for the 911 Turbo and Turbo S variants)
