After launching 15 models in 2015, Mercedes-Benz is still going strong in terms of bringing new models in India. The latest Mercedes to launch in India is the GLE 450 AMG Coupe, priced at Rs. 86.4 lakh ex-showroom (Mumbai).
One Look at the GLE 450 AMG and one would know what exactly this particular model is doing in India, which is to compete with the BMW X6. The GLE has a very similar overall silhouette compared to the BMW X6, but, with a strong Mercedes design.
Engine, Gearbox, & Specifications
The Mercedes-Benz GLE 450 AMG Coupe is powered by a 3.0-litre, twin turbocharged V6 petrol engine that delivers 362bhp and 520Nm of torque. Power is delivered to all four-wheels through a 9-speed automatic gearbox.
The GLE Coupe can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 5.7 seconds, which is really quick for an SUV, and has a top speed of 250km/h.
Some of the features available on the Mercedes-Benz GLE 450 AMG are 21-inch AMG wheels, leather interior, multi-functional steering wheel, 360 degree camera system and parking aids, panoramic sun roof, 5 driving modes, temperature controlled cup holders, and LED lighting to name a few.
Mercedes-Benz India has plans to launch 12 new models for the Indian market this year, and the Mereceds-Benz GLE 450 AMG Coupe is the first for this year.
