Felix Rosenqvist has delivered Mahindra Racing their first pole position in Formula E Championship. The Swedish driver, however, managed to finish the Marrakesh ePrix in third place.
Mahindra Racing has achieved another podium finish in the Formula E Championship. This is their second podium finish in season three. Felix Rosenqvist delivered a third place finish to Mahindra Racing at the Marrakesh ePrix.
Felix Rosenqvist is a rookie in Formula E Championship and was just his second outing with Mahindra Racing. The Swedish racer has shown amazing talent during pre-season testing and is now converting his talent into podium finishes for the Indian-based racing outfit.
Mahindra Racing has displayed tremendous competitive ability. In the first race of season three, Nick Heidfeld secured third place at the Hong Kong ePrix. Currently, Mahindra Racing is tied with ABT Schaeffler Audi Sport for second place with 36 points.
2016 Marrakesh ePrix was the first time Mahindra Racing started the race from pole position. It also was Felix Rosenqvist's first Formula E career pole. Teammate Nick Heidfeld, on the other hand, started way down in the eleventh position, which put him at a major disadvantage.
Next Formula E race will be contested at Buenos Aires, Argentina. The entire Formula E paddock will now rest during the winter break, as they return to competition on February 18, 2017. Stay tuned for all motorsport related updates.
