Audi India Is All Set To Launch A Performance Edition Model In October
Audi plans on launching its RS7 Performance Edition in India, sometime during October 2016. The all-new sportscar was first showcased in India during the 2016 Auto Expo in Delhi. The RS7 Performance Edition will be a faster and sportier edition of the Audi RS7 Sportback model.
Under the hood of the Audi RS7 Performance Edition will be a 4.0-litre, V8 petrol engine. This engine produces 596.72bhp, along with 750Nm of peak torque, owing to an overboost function. Audi officials claim that RS7 Performance Edition delivers a fuel efficiency of 12.37 km/l.
The RS7 Performance Edition has an electronically restricted top speed of 250km/h. The sportscar can sprint from 0-100km/h in a matter of 3.7 seconds. Audi explains that the RS7 Performance Edition is 0.2 seconds faster when compared to the standard model.
There are not many changes from Audi's standard to RS7 Performance Edition model. An updated MMI system will be introduced, along with a Drive Select toggle switch on the steering wheel. The bodykit looks more aggressive and aerodynamic compared to standard RS7 model.
The RS7 Performance Edition will be imported into India as a Completely Built Unit (CBU). Audi India is most likely to price the RS7 Performance Edition at approximately Rs 1.7 crore ex-showroom. Stay tuned for more updates from Audi and its future product launches.
