Maruti Suzuki To Cough Up INR 1,00,000 For Every Worker Sacked
Maruti Suzuki is the leader in terms of automobile sales, they have constantly introduced products that have attracted Indian buyers. The Japanese based four-wheel manufacturer is constantly in the news for some reason or another. Now there is news that they will have to cough up INR 1,00,000 for every worker they sacked during turmoil at their Manesar facility.
425 employees lost their jobs post the violence that was created in July, 2012. A labour court in Gurgaon has passed judgement that Maruti Suzuki will have to compensate every of those employees that were stripped of their duties.
Each of the 425 employees will get only INR 85,000, while INR 15,00 will go to the court. Maruti Suzuki has confirmed to pay this compensation, however, there is no new if the fired employees will be given their jobs back. They will take further action once they understand the court order better.
Suzuki currently offers a wide range of products in India. They plan to launch an all-new premium hatchback and compact SUV in India within 2015. At the ongoing 2015 Geneva Motor Show, the Japanese manufacturer showcased two concept vehicles called iK-2 and iM-4.
The S-Cross and YRA have been caught on several occasions testing in India. Maruti Suzuki has introduced a refreshed Swift Dzire and will be providing an update to its Ertiga as well. They have launched its Ciaz sedan, which is doing well and it is rumoured that the manufacturer plans on introducing separate showrooms for their premium products.
