The Tata Harrier EV, a flagship electric SUV, has been launched in Mumbai, Maharashtra. This new model promises both performance and off-road capabilities. The Harrier EV has been eagerly awaited and is now available at a starting price of Rs 21.49 lakh (Ex-showroom). Bookings for the Harrier EV start from July 2nd, 2025 with deliveries expected soon after. That being said, here are the top 5 highlights of the Tata Harrier EV.

Design Highlights

The Harrier EV maintains the design ethos of other Tata EVs with subtle changes for distinction. It features a closed grille, unique bumpers, and new alloy wheels, retaining the imposing road presence of its ICE counterparts. Available colours include Nainital Nocturne, Empowered Oxide, Pure Grey and Pristine White; an all-Black Stealth Edition will follow shortly thereafter.

Interior & Features

Inside, the Tata Harrier EV offers a 14.53-inch QLED infotainment screen from Samsung with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, streaming apps and games. The interior also boasts dual-zone climate control, ventilated seats, powered front seats with memory function for the driver’s seat, rear AC vents, panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, electric Boss Mode, rear sun shades, Digital Key, JBL Black premium audio system, Smart IRVM and more. These features ensure a comfortable ride for all passengers.

Safety & Technology

Safety is enhanced with a reinforced monocoque chassis based on the Acti.ev+ platform. The Level-2 ADAS includes 22 features like auto-emergency braking and adaptive cruise control. Standard safety features include six airbags, ESP, ABS along with 360-degree cameras and blindspot monitoring.

Specifications

The Harrier EV offers two battery options: 65 kWh and 75 kWh. It provides a range of up to 627 km on a single charge with the larger battery pack. The RWD variant delivers 238PS of peak power while the dual-motor configuration adds a 158PS motor at the front for a combined torque of 504 Nm.

Charging is efficient with a 7.2kW AC charger or using a 125KW DC charger that charges from 20% to 80% SOC in just 25 minutes. Tata's Mega chargers can provide up to 250km range in just 15 minutes.

Off-Road Capabilities

This is Tata's first vehicle since Hexa and Safari Storme to feature RWD and QWD options. Dual-motor variants are termed QWD (Quad Wheel Drive), featuring one motor on each axle for higher trims. The Harrier EV also introduces rear independent suspension after Nano.

For off-road adventures, upgraded Terrain Modes are available: Normal, Sand, Mud Ruts, Snow/Grass, Rock Crawl and Custom modes enhance its capability on challenging terrains. Transparent Mode provides video feed even of underbody areas aiding off-road navigation.
